first of all...............girls!!! oh my, that was funny. your little mistake made for a very fun (yes, very long) but very funny read and to think of it. Oh my gosh!!!!! well, fun comes in sizes and shapes. Just keep going for it. I remember those large yellow train schedules. We finally figured them out which is not to say they are accurate.
second.... I feel such a longing anf sentimental feeling in my heart. A year ago tomorrow we hauled our two ravel suitcases out to the town car and floated off to the airport for the beginning of our 5 week adventure to spainfranceitaly. and seeing the scenes from "Vercelli" I really felt my body go back to the doorways and facades and colors and little bistros and the shoes in the windows and the everything italian. The winding roads/paths in the hill towns.... I actually wish we could leave again tomorrow for something italian but simpler than what we did last year.
In three weeks we will be boarding NW flight to Minneapolis aiming our noses to Iowa, a new baby, open green fields, family, (toni's) a bit of cigarette smoke, bigger cars, donuts not cod liver oil and protein shakes. then michigan. so each to their own vacation package.
anyway,
it is a gorgeous seattle tuesday in sept.... toni off riding jus to ride looking particularly good in her outfit..... and I will follow the small red deaf dog out ot the curb where she will "take her own walk" which she likes to do as I follow with a baggie on my hand.... and the woman across the street will emerge with her tiny 6 year il son looking ravaged as her husband is not speaking to her and seeing another woman (just as a friend) and she is freaked out that their marriage is over which it probably is and we have all been giving counsel on the sidewalk (and my couch for two hours sunday) how to stay calm......then.........into the day who knows what it will bring. Maybe something like your train trip. Lets hope!!!!
